I have been running my whole life, but mostly in various other sports such as soccer and football. When I turned 40 I started running as a form of therapy while waiting for eye surgery. I loved it and have been running ever since. My running flourished when I moved to Vancouver in 2014. The running community in Vancouver is truly
amazing. I felt supported by so many like-minded people and that had a huge impact on my performances. The support and community allowed me to achieve so much more than I ever thought possible. I have raced everything from a mile to a marathon, but if I had to pick a favourite it would be the half marathon. I feel it’s the perfect distance to really test your fitness, as you need both speed and endurance.
Running is a perfect example of “you get out of it what you put into it.” There are no short cuts, no magic pills. If you put in the time, and work you will see results. I am looking forward to being part of the KmRunClub Community and to helping others achieve all their running goals.
